今月19日にマザーズ上場予定だった株式会社ディップが、上場日を僅か4日後に控えた12/15に上場日延期を決定した。
理由は、世間では何故か話題性に乏しい「Yahooがリクルートとネット求人事業を共同展開する」ことを、投資家に周知徹底するため。とのこと。
目論見書にもYahoo!の影響については既に触れているので「？」と思わざるを得ない。
エン･ジャパンの先行事例(転職サイト運営では後発にも関わらず、高いシェアと収益を誇る)もあったので、さぞかし投資家からの期待は大きかったことだろう。
さて、ディップのサイトにあるリリースによれば、Yahoo!経由の応募者比率は23%である。
Yahoo!との契約内容が判らないので、売上など財務面に与える影響は明らかでないものの、この段階で延期というところを見るとダメージが相当大きいのは間違いない。
昔の会社の先輩がやっているOPPOは大丈夫だろうか？と余計な心配までしてしまう。
話は変わるが、今月2日にYahoo!、goo、infoseekの検索サービスが立て続けに利用出来なくなった(参考記事)。

上記で井上さんも指摘している「大手ポータルサイト依存のインターネットの脆弱性」、この内容はとても重要に思う。
下のグラフを見て欲しい。
これは、日本におけるドメイン別PV数のパレート分布である。
（便宜上、PV数が多い上位1000ドメインを対象にしている）
グラフにある吹き出しを見ればわかると思うが、80%のPV数を上位13.1%のドメインで占有している。
パレートの法則では80:20、つまり80%のPV数を20%のドメインが占有、ということなので、PV数においては上位ドメインに分布が偏っていることが読み取れる。
しかし、もう一度グラフを良く見て欲しい。
35%あたりから赤い曲線がスタートしている。
そうです、これがYahoo!のPV比率である。
Top1000ドメインの中での占有率が、Yahoo!だけで36.2%に達している。
(手元にあるTop1660ドメインの中だと占有率は35.4%)
この36.2%という数字は(検索も同比率とは限らないが)、先日起きた「複数検索サイトでの連鎖サービスダウン」、井上さんの指摘する「大手ポータルサイト依存」を説明するに十分な数字だと思う。
つまり、今ネット業界で起きている問題とは「大手ポータルサイト依存」ではなく、もはや「Yahoo!依存」と表現した方が適切であろう。
話を戻すと、先の「Yahooがリクルートとネット求人事業を共同展開」、その結果「ディップ上場延期」というのは、この「Yahoo!依存」現象の悪い側面を如実に表していると思う。
ネット初期にはインターネットは蜘蛛の巣(実に懐かしい表現です)構造になっているため、分散、平等、などと様々なメリットが方々で語られていた。
しかし、世帯普及率も50%を越え、ようやく一般化してきた現在、インターネットの構造は極度の一極集中となってしまっており、多大なるリスクを背負い込むこととなっている。
サイトのみならず、回線も同様のことが言えるだろう。
大手キャリアが保有している回線(NTT、KDDI、等)に障害が発生すると、インターネットは機能しなくなる。
